We meet at the airport in 6 hours and I have just started to pack...
One of the cool things about this trip is the amount of freedom we as participants have in choosing our own schedules.
While the majority of our time will obviously be spent in the schools, the program coordinators leave the use of all our free time up to us. They also leave all preparation, and organizing what we need to bring, up to us. I hope I remember it all...
Packing List -
-2 backpacks
-1 school binder
-1 folder including
-plane tickets
-passport
-maps
-workshop/peaceful schools info
-pen
-paper
-1 power transformer
-1 universal travel adapter (over countless google attempts I realized these are different things and both are needed for successful electronics charging)
-rain jacket
-watch
-sunglasses
-computer (case, charger)
-toiletries
-wallet (British pounds, Euro, Canadian and a Mastercard with very little room)
-4 pairs jeans
-3 hoodies
-8 t-shirts (SMU swag)
-3 button downs
-socks
-underwear (clean)
-tuque
-2 books (Galapagos - Vonnegut, David and Gloiatch - Gladwell)
-1 huge bag of homemade trail mix (* tip* when buying bulk food always double check the cost per kg; I recently purchased many may more dried apricots than I could afford)
In short, I am probably forgetting several important things. Here's to adventure.
